Do you know that a retaining wall is primarily subjected to horizontal thrust due to backfill, vertical load due to earthfill, hydrostatic pressure and its self weight. Therefore a retaining wall should be designed with appropriate reinforcement bars and rich concrete mix in order to enhance a good internal resistance which will guarantee its stability and durability.
